The team of over 20 Registered Veterinary Nurses including a dedicated night-team, over 15 Student Veterinary Nurses, Auxiliary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants as well as our excellent, compassionate Reception Team constitute an environment wherein pets needs are prioritised and their owners are offered options then kept informed every step of the way.

We have invested in modern equipment to best provide the highest quality services. Our Equipment, Facilities and Services Page details this further: We boast a comprehensive facility list including surgical suites, CT, cardiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy, radiography, arthroscopy and extensive laboratory and monitoring equipment as well as 24-hour inpatient nursing care.

We are located conveniently near M6 junctions 33 and 34, have private car parks for clients’ use and are easy to find. We are accessible via public transport also and have a Pet Transport Service should collection and delivery for your appointment be required. This means we can easily service all of Lancashire, Cumbria and West Yorkshire.

We are competitively priced throughout all of our services, offering gold-standard care for reasonable prices.

We believe we offer the best referral packages in the North-West. Despite our advances with technology and a growing team, we have remained the same humble practitioners that founded Bay Vets Referrals in 2012.

Don’t just take our word for it:

“Very good vets. Always very professional and friendly. All of the staff: vets, nurses and receptionists really care”

Sarah, 2023

“My Spaniel Buzz broke his elbow and was ultimately treated at Bay Vets. My vet’s main referral partner could not operate for 2-3 days, so I decided to call Bay vets as an alternative and they managed to get him in the very next day and with a saving of a third. Colin the surgeon was fantastic, explained the pre-op and post-op very well and it appears has done an excellent job with Buzz, he is already placing a little bit of weight on the impacted leg and the wound etc looks very tidy. Well done guys, it’s not a situation pet or owner likes to be in, but you made it as smooth as possible.”

Ben, 2023

“Very caring service. Always explained options and treatments very well. I felt my dog had great care.”
